The festivities begin with the evocative ringing of the bells and the old-fashioned harvest. This first stage is tinged with nostalgia, recalling the time when the harvest was a collective activity, full of conviviality and sharing. At the end of the harvest, a very appreciated breakfast is served, strengthening the links between the participants.
Then comes the “piada del râim”, a tradition in which participants walk barefoot on the grapes in a cossiol, a sensory experience that recalls the first stages of the wine tradition of the Priorat. This authentic practice strengthens the link between past and present, between community and land.
An exquisite tasting in an idyllic setting
DOQ Priorat wine tasting is an essential part of the festival. It takes place at the majestic entrances of the mansions of Calle Major, offering a picturesque setting to discover the wine treasures of the region. The diversity of aromas, flavours and textures testifies to the know-how of local winemakers, taking participants on a sensory journey through the unique terroir of Priorat.
Crafts, culture and entertainment: a complete experience
Alongside the tastings, the Raval district hosts a craft fair, showcasing local talent and authentic artisan products. It is the perfect opportunity to discover the creative treasures of the region, acquire unique souvenirs and enjoy local crafts.
The afternoon comes alive with the performances of the Castell, a spectacular demonstration of human know-how and collective strength. This Catalan tradition adds a touch of cultural pride to the event. Finally, the evening ends with a dancing evening at the camp “La Closa”, where music and dance create a joyful and relaxed atmosphere to close the party in beauty.
